Last year, more than 150 individuals and local businesses contributed to the McEldowney Academic Scholarship Fund. With their help, our scholarship committee was able to award 19 Scholarships totaling $19,000 to college bound high school seniors in Blair County in 2007. The Fund has awarded $74,000 since its inception in 2003. But to grow our cause, we need your help!

The Fund’s committee is currently planning our annual fundraiser. We are asking that you please join us in support of this effort! A charitable donation from you can go a long way to help us continue awarding scholarships to local high school seniors.

The 8th Annual Mac’s Irish Bash will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 at the Jaffa Shrine in Altoona. Donors in attendance will enjoy dinner, beverages, a silent auction, a raffle for a chance to win a trip to Ireland, local entertainment, & much more! Please share with your friends and patrons the important work we are doing and ask them to contribute and join in our celebration.

A tax deductible donation of goods, services, or financial contributions helps us to combine our efforts with other businesses and individuals, and gives our community the help it needs to grow strong.
